An up and down weekend for Danny

BKS brand ambassador and 2010 Red Bull Rookie Danny Kent headed to Germany at the weekend to try to re-establish himself at the top of the leader board. The Wiltshire-based 17-year-old put in a great performance in race 1, clinching third place and the overall championship lead.

Unfortunately in race 2, Danny got a poor start and was forced to work extra hard in the early stages to make up for lost ground. After pushing too hard, Danny crashed out from 7th position and lost his lead at the top of the championship. However, he walked away unscathed thanks to the protection of his BKS suit.

"It's been a really mixed weekend," said Danny. "I was happy with race 1 for sure; I felt really comfortable, stayed out the way of trouble and regained the top spot in the championship. Sadly, race 2 didn't go so well. My start was really poor and I had to push harder than ever before to catch the leaders. I dropped it just trying too hard, but I didn't get any injuries so I'll be back to fighting form at the next round of the championship."
